Wow, it's been a while since I posted some photos, but here's some photos from my vacation.

Blaqman Records

I was taking photos for Blaqman Records and these are the photos that came out of it. Some were more on a single portrait take, while others were group photos.

Portrait Shots

I haven't been able to do much for portrait shots. It's hard to find someone who'll sit for you and even harder to just ask someone if they'll sit. My friend sat for some shots and these are what came out of it.

So I've been working on different photos of the kitties. Mostly Misty as she's new-ish. There's some other photos of my fiance's families pets.

A few things

Wow, so it's been a long time since I've posted. There has been just so much going on lately and I haven't really been able to get around to doing all those things that I really need to do.

Here are some soccer photos from in September. It's taken me a while to get them up, but a lot of other things have been taking precedence.

The Gazelles, Dignan, and Homer Hiccolm and the Rocketboys

There was a concert last night that was The Gazelles, Dignan, and Homer Hiccolm and the Rocketboys. I really enjoyed these three artists. For me, it's fun to see where these people have come from and where they're going. Some of the members of Homer Hiccolm, I have gone to college with, and it's really enjoyable for me to see where they've gone, and where I know they're going to go.

School starts.... Again

School has begun again, which means there will be more photos coming from me. This summer was just nuts with work and such, and, with my car dying, it was hard for me to really get out and take some photos. To start off the new school year, here's photos from Welcome Week, where the freshmen and transfer just have a week of getting to know each other and having fun.

A little bit of fun

I took some photos of my cat yesterday and today and he just looked cute, so I figured I'd post them. Also, I spent a bit of time on the beach this evening. Evenings are definitely a good time for beach photography.

La Kermesse

Last Thursday, it was the La Kermesse festival. It's this French festival that we have in Biddeford, Maine every year. However, this year I was only able to make the fireworks, and missed the parade and the actual festival. That's what I get for working a full time job. Well, here are my photos from the fireworks. Also, I was hanging out with Leann and I took this photo of her cat. I just thought it was cute.

Acadia National Park

I've been going around a bit nuts and haven't really been able to do a lot of photography, which is kind of sad. But I went to Acadia National Park about a week ago, and here's some of what I took there. I think Acadia is definitely one of the most beautiful places.

Zoo Day

Some students from an agricultural class hosted Zoo Day, and for one of my video stories for class, I videoed it. Joy Harsh from the Abilene Zoo came and discussed what she did and showed some of the animals she works with.

Style Your Sole

Tom's Shoes came to Abilene today and hosted Style Your Sole. Basically what it was, was that you could buy a pair of shoes, for like $40, and they'd match it to buy shoes for a kid in another country, or something like that. But what I was enjoying was that you could decorate this pair of shoes anyway you wanted, and here are my photos from that.

A Few Things

I was assigned Service Saturday this week and here are a few photos I took. Also, I added a photo from the Art Show I went to last week. Hoping there's some improvement here in my people shots.

Silly Kitty

I bought this new shelf yesterday that was ridiculously easy to put together. I needed one because my cat likes to knock everything off of my counters, so I wanted a shelf that would be more difficult for him to reach. Well it works, but it doesn't work. I found out that he can jump to the shelf just under the top and I'm hoping he doesn't try to jump higher. He was enjoying himself and playing with some toys on the shelf below him. Here's some photos from that. All I did was adjust the levels a little bit and desaturate the background.

I was having fun with my macro lens the other day and here's a photo that came out of it that I just absolutely love. Here is the photo, and the process I used to get to the final product.

I took the photo with my 50mm f/2.8 lens and this is what I got.


I then did some sharpening and some levels adjustment in Photoshop, and then put it into PictureProject and changed it into Sepia.

After doing some posting on DPS (Digital Photography School), I got some good critique on what I should fix, such as lightening a bit around the eye. So I did a bit of dodging around the left side of the head and the bottom left near the eye, and here is my final result.
